DRAWING

In this body of work, a lace-like effect is achieved by layering threads of thought. The use of portraiture is an attempt to capture an essence of identity that while true to physical form, is not solely beholden to that form. This style is also a purposeful melding of meditation practices and creative process.

Pulsing │Ink on panel │ 10 x 10 x 2″ │ 2017 – Text excerpt: When you close your eyes Attention turns toward the inner glow Your heart sees by its own light. Pulsing with subtle flame…Life arises from itself In a swirling motion of flame. Being becomes body In meditation, adore the subtle fire — In heart, foreheads, above the head, Dissolve into radiance.
