Textiles

This body of works focuses on recontextualizing “women’s work” by combining artistic and handcraft traditions of drawing and sewing through modern methods.  Wools from the Gardner family farm, Meadowtree Farm, can also be incorporated, lending labor to works not only from the artist, but multiple generations of a single family. Simple materials balanced with intense detail.  Traditional methods balanced by contemporary possibilities.
